ADULT CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES SWAP


Our first Adult Clothing & Accessories Swap will be this winter!

Here’s your chance to clean house! Give away gently used clothing and accessories that you don’t wear anymore. Bring home something new-to-you that sparks joy! SOMA Families members can see the location on Meetup→

How it works

1 - Anyone can drop off accepted items before the Swap (Fri, 7–8:30 PM or Sat, 9–11:30 AM). You’ll come into the venue and place your items on the appropriate tables/racks. Please review and follow the drop-off guidelines below. SOMA Families members can see the location on Meetup→
If you are not a member but would like to drop off accepted items, email swap@somafamilies.org

2 - Volunteers will help you place your items, and set up the Swap. Volunteers get to PRE-SWAP from 12:30-1:00 PM!

3 - All SOMA Families members can “shop” the Swap on Saturday, 1-3 PM.
This is an exclusive members-only event—no guests or free trials will be allowed.

  • Please make sure your name aligns with your Meetup name to avoid any confusion or delays at the check-in table! 

  • SOMA Families members do not need to drop off items to attend the event and take items home!

4 - Leftover items will be donated locally.


Drop-Off Guidelines

You’ll come into the venue and place your items on the appropriate tables/racks. We appreciate your generosity! Please take a moment to go through our guidelines below. We reserve the right to turn away items that do not meet the guidelines.


👚👜 Items accepted

The following items can be dropped off, and must be new or gently used, with no stains/damage:

Women’s or gender-neutral clothing items below, any adult size, bundled by type & size

  • Dress tops

  • Dress pants

  • Work clothes/suits

  • Dresses (cocktail & formal)

  • Jeans/denim

  • Sweaters

  • Jackets & coats (winter & raincoats)

Small accessories

  • Jewelry

  • Winter hats, gloves

  • Clutches, handbags, purses

  • Wallets

  • Dress shoes (please rubber-band pairs)

  • Hats, hair accessories (new only)


🎽🩳 Items Not accepted

We cannot accept items that are overused, stained, ripped, broken or missing parts/pieces. Items that cannot be donated after the event create difficulties for our volunteers with disposal and transportation. Thank you in advance!

  • NO men’s clothing or items (just for this first adult swap to see how it goes!)

  • NO children’s clothing or items

  • NO maternity/nursing clothes

  • NO sleepwear unless new with tags

  • NO workout clothing/gear unless new with tags

  • NO swimsuits unless new with tags

  • NO sundresses unless new with tags

  • NO T-shirts / tank tops unless new with tags

  • NO sneakers or sandals unless like-new

  • NO undergarments

  • NO robes, blankets, towels, bedding

  • NO costumes

You do not need to be a member to drop off items. Non-members can email swap@somafamilies.org to arrange a drop-off.

By attending this event, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people are present. You and any guests attending this event voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, as well as any risks of personal injury from participating in the event, and agree not to hold SOMA Families Meetup; the venue; or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury. You agree to follow SOMA Families health guidelines.
